Task Group 1: Research on the Convergence of the DOA/Handle System and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System

Task Group Charter

  • Mission statements

Research on the convergence of the DOA/Handle System and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System

  • Summary and overview

The DOA/Handle System has a complete technical architecture while the Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System is a mid-level architecture designed for use with the national primary nodes and others. Between these two architectures there is a need for mutual understanding, correspondence, collective collaborative development and a clear integration route to more effectively promote the development of both, the DOA/Handle and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution Systems.

  • Scope

Explore the convergence of the two systems from a management, technology and business perspective by looking at both architectures. The resulting solution should both maintain the integrity of the Handle System but compatible with the requirements of the Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution Architecture and lay the foundation for the implementation of DOA/Handle and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution. The solution should also act as a reference point for any subsequent integration of other identifier resolution systems with the Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution system.
