ATSD Task Group 1: Research on the Convergence of the DOA/Handle System and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System

During recent years, China puts great importance to the innovative development of the industrial internet, and the integrated development of technical architectures is accelerating. In order to promote the convergence of the DOA/Handle System and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System, ATSD Task Group 1 was formally established on December 31, 2019, aiming to explore the convergence of the two systems from a management, technology and business perspective by looking at both architectures. Xihui Zhen, Director of DONA, Vice Chairman of the ATSD Steering  Committee, Co-Chair and Chief Expert of Coalition for Handle Services, and Haihua Li, Deputy Director of Engineering of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Chairman of General Working Group of Alliance of Industrial Internet, co-hair ATSD Task Group 1.

On January 14, 2020, the kick-off meeting of ATSD Task Group 1, Research on the Convergence of the DOA/Handle System and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System, was held in Beijing, and the following online and offline meetings were held on May 21, June 4, July 2, July 16, September 3, 2020 respectively. Xinmin Gao, Director of DONA, Chairman of ATSD Board, and Sam Sun, Assistant to DONA Chairman, Chairman of ATSD Steering Committee, attended these meetings and discussed with attendees. Representatives of organizations, including China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team, Shanghai Ideal Information Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., Beijing Research Institute of China Telecom, Content Digital Innovations Co., Ltd., Corporation for Handle Services in China, put forward their suggestions and solutions from the dimensions of technology, application, security, operation and business.

ATSD Task Group 1 will continue to carry out the research of the DOA/Handle System and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System Architecture integration solution, and report the progress on the ATSD official website in time. The resulting solution should lay the foundation for the integration and implementation of the DOA/Handle and Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System, and also act as a reference point for any subsequent integration of other identifier resolution systems with the Industrial Internet Identifier Resolution System.
